Based in Strongsville, I personally represent clients in municipal, mayor’s and common pleas courts throughout western Cuyahoga County and nearby Medina and Lorain County communities.
Choose the court on your paperwork
Local procedure and Ohio law both matter
Mayor’s courts
Mayor’s courts handle eligible city traffic and misdemeanor matters and are not courts of record. Depending on the charge and applicable procedure—including any jury demand or transfer authorized by law—a matter may remain in mayor’s court or proceed in the municipal or county court with jurisdiction.
Municipal courts
Municipal courts handle traffic and misdemeanor cases and the early stages of many felony matters. The citation, complaint, arresting agency and newest docket notice identify the controlling court and date.
Common pleas courts
Felony indictments proceed in county common pleas court. Select the correct county hub for felony-offense pages and record-clearing information tied to that court.
If the court name is unclear, call (440) 826-3400 with the paperwork before missing a deadline or paying a waiver.
